(May 10) Another milestone for Tamim Iqbal, passing 3000 career Test runs. He is now 6 runs behind the all-time Bangladesh record of Habibul Bashar.

(May 4) Tamim Iqbal scores 206 against Pakistan - the highest Test score for Bangladesh.

(Apr 26) Alastair Cook becomes the 2nd highest English run scorer, passing Alec Stewart on 8463 (Graham Gooch holds the record with 8900). Milestones also for English up-and-comers Joe Root (2000 runs) and Gary Ballance (1000 runs).

(Apr 19) James Anderson plays his 100th Test for England, and claims his 384th wicket - this makes him England's greatest ever wicket-taker, passing the 22-year-old mark of Ian Botham.

(Apr 10) HowzStat sadly notes the passing of Richie Benaud (1930-2015): 28th captain of Australia, 2nd greatest Aussie spinner behind Shane Warne and beacon of the game.

(Mar 31) Daniel Vettori announces his retirement from all cricket, after an 18-year career.
Some stats: youngest Test debutant for NZ at 18 years and 10 days [List], 2nd highest wicket taker for NZ in Tests (362) behind Sir Richard Hadlee, and highest in ODIs (305). Most Tests (113) and ODIs (295) for NZ.
