NEWS

Apr 4 South Africa inflict the heaviest Test defeat in runs against an opponent since 1934: the chief destroyer Vernon Philander claims his 200th scalp: his 6-22 was the best by a Protea against the Aussies since Shaun Pollock's 7-87 in 1998. Former captain AB de Villiers scores over 2000 runs in Aus-SAf matches - only the 2nd player to reach this milestone after Ricky Ponting.

Mar 27 England slump to their lowest ever Test score against New Zealand in the 1st Test in Auckland.

After the initial mayhem, pace stalwart Stuart Broad becomes the 15th bowler to take 400 wickets in Tests - and 3rd youngest. As the Black Caps built an insurmountable advantage, captain Kane Williamson broke the record for most Test centuries by a Kiwi, with his 18th.

Mar 26 Amid the scandal in Cape Town, some milestones: both Morne Morkel and Nathan Lyon take 300 Test wickets for their respective countries. In carrying his bat, Proteas opener Dean Elgarscores 3000 runs.

Mar 20 Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi takes his 100th ODI wicket - only the 3rd Associates player to reach this milestone behind Kenya's Thomas Odoyo and Ireland's Kevin O'Brien.

Note  Ireland and Afghanistan will continue to be listed in Associate members tables and menus until they have played a debut Test.
