Jan 27 A magnificent opening partnership of 284 by David Warner and Travis Head is the highest ever ODI stand for Australia (and 5th highest by any side). The previous record was 260 by Warner and Steve Smith, set in 2015.

Warner's knock of 179 was his highest score, and the highest by an Australian in Australia. Warner now has 4 of the 10 highest Australian ODI innings.

Jan 25 Two significant milestones for the Black Caps, as batsman Ross Taylor becomes only the 3rd Kiwi to amass 6000 runs in Tests, joining Steve Fleming and Brendon McCullum.
